In the month of August 2025 saplings of fruit trees were distributed across 59 Sabar villages with the objective of improving nutrition, strengthening livelihoods and promoting environmental care within the Sabar community. Families from each village gathered with interest and hope, many of them seeing fruit saplings not just as plants but as long-term support for their homes. A total of 2,650 fruit saplings were distributed, ensuring that each family receives multiple plants to grow around their homes.
The saplings included Coconut, Jackfruit, Desi Lemon, Papaya, selected based on local climate compatibility and household needs. These varieties were chosen because they are easy to maintain provide long-term yields, and contribute directly to family nutrition.

Families from all 59 villages participated actively in the distribution. Women, elders and children came forward to received the saplings and learn simple methods of planting, watering and protection. Each household was encouraged to plant the saplings in their backyard or nearby open space for regular care and monitoring.
During Distribution Anil Sabar from Popo village shared a meaningful thought, “These trees will grow with our Children. They will give us fruits, shade and future without harming the forest.”

The fruit sapling distribution across 22 Sabar Villages covering 2,650 saplings of four different varieties marked an important step toward sustainable living. It planted responsibility, self-reliance and hope. With proper care, these young plants are expected to grow into lasting assets, supporting healthier families and stronger communities for years to come.
